Do you like gardening?

Hi all!

Hope you are all fine! Our globe is going through tough time but I don't want to talk about it now. There are enough contents out there.

I thought I will share how I started my gardening with you all. It was March 8, 2016. I dropped my kids to school and while on my way back, I spotted a plant vendor near our street.

The cart was full of pots filled with different flowers which attracted me immediately. There were rose pots, jasmine pots, crotons, tulsi, etc. I couldn't help resist buying white marigold flower pot. It costed Rs.60/-. I bought it home and placed it in my balcony. I watered it and felt so happy.

My kids and my husband were also so pleased to see it when they came back home in the evening. Day and night, I used to go to my balcony to look at that tiny plant grow. I slowly started realizing how happy and content it made me feel. It was just like how you treat your children, nurture them and see them grow.

From then, I started adding pots one by one to my balcony garden. It is such a bliss. We have so many flowers, curry leaves plant, tulsi, brahmi, etc.

It's not easy. To grow all these needs a lot of effort from us too. Thank God! My husband helps me a lot in this. We share the work of watering them, weeding and feeding them with organic manure.

As humans, they also feel sick sometimes. You should keep watching them and give them love and care. And yes, they definitely respond to your love and care. GROW THEM TO FEEL THEM :)

Sometimes they are attacked by the white insects called Mealybugs -

You can remove them by your hand when you notice them immediately and are not more in number. If you didn't happen to notice them and have spread widely, then you can use an organic pesticide made out of neem leaves. It works wonderful. Within a day, all the bugs fall out from the plants.

We had also grown tomatoes, green chillies, pomegranate (we still have the plant), bitter gourd, etc. Plants give such immense pleasure to your life. It lifts your health and mood up.

If you grow and take care of them, they do also take care of you in return and a thousand times better.

Have you grown any plant yet? What are your experiences? Do share in the comment section below. I will be very happy to read it.

Thank you for visiting my blog and reading my posts.

Till then,
Lots of love,
Take care,
Usha Ganesh
